Orden Ogan Tickets
A German power metal group with a unique take on their chosen musical genre, Orden Ogan formed in 1996. The group incorporate elements of folk metal and progressive rock into their tracks to create a sound that has few imitators. Orden Ogan is a four-piece that has had a changing lineup over the years. The current members playing in the band are Tobias Kersting, Niels Löffler, Dirk Meyer-Berhorn and Sebastian 'Seeb' Levermann, with only Leverman being in the first incarnation of the band. His guitar and vocal style have been mainstays of the group’s style over the two decades and more since they first came together.
Along with their numerous activities as a recording and touring band, some of the members of Orden Ogan are involved with promoting the WinterNachtsTraum metal music festival. This event has included bands such as Sinister, Axxis and Van Canto before. Others groups that have taken to the stage there include Rage, Ensiferum and Agathodaimon.
Orden Ogan's career milestones
The group first came together under the name Tanzende Aingewaide before switching name in 1997. In their formative years, the group put out three albums, all of them so-called demonstration releases. The first was Oblivion in 1998, followed by Soli Deo Gloria in 1999. Testimonium AD was the final self-funded release of this type. In 2008, Orden Ogan began making a recording for a proper label. Yonah Records subsequently put out Vale, the band’s debut studio album, a work that won many new fans for the group. It was widely appreciated among the heavy rock music press in Europe, some of whom trumpeted the album as a work that would go down as a classic.
In the year after the release of Vale, Orden Ogan’s profile rose considerably. Highlights during this period included the band taking to the stage at festivals such as Rock am Ring and Rock Harz. In 2010, Orden Ogan returned with their follow-up studio album, a work entitled Easton Hope. This followed the band switching to a new label; AFM Records. The group toured all over Europe promoting the album, with many dates in a support role for the renowned rock band, Tiamat.
A couple of lineup changes occurred in 2011, followed by a new album the following year. Reaching a high of 41 in the German charts, To the End achieved considerable mainstream success. A single from the album, “The Things We Believe In”, was watched several million times on YouTube. By 2013, the band’s reputation had grown to such an extent that they were touring outside of Europe, including a string of dates in the USA. A fourth studio album, Ravenhead, came out in 2015, and was their greatest commercial success to that point. A fifth album was released two years later.
