The history of Malmö FF

The club was founded in 1910, and for the first years played in small and local divisions. Starting from the 1920s, Malmö FF played in the Allsvenskan league. They won their first Svenska Cupen in 1944 and their first championship in 1949. Slow starters, the club enjoyed a good period in the 40s and 50s, but it wasn’t until the 1970s that they experienced their most successful decade to date, which many have referred to as their golden age! Over the course of that decade they amassed eight titles under their belt. The 80s were also a very good decade for the club, but in the 90s they went through a dry patch, without any title wins.
