Lord Huron Tickets
Lord Huron is an Americana folk band based out of Los Angeles. Headed by the talented Ben Schneider, the group produces soft, Western-themed music, with lyrics full of evocative images and messages.
Lord Huron maintains a very busy schedule, with stops planned throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and France. Following a performance at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut in Glasgow, the band will move on to Pomona, California for an appearance at the Fox Theatre.
Founding Lord Huron member Ben Schneider originally aspired to be a visual artist. He moved to California to pursue this dream, but found limited success. After working briefly at an ad agency, he began recording music for fun. Requests for live music ultimately led to his now very successful career in folk music.
Originally the solo project of Michigan native Ben Schneider, Lord Huron in its current form is an indie folk band featuring several of Schneider's childhood friends. The band has been something of a revolving door, but its most recent members include guitarist and vocalist Ben Schneider, percussionist and vocalist Mark Barry, bassist Miguel Briseño and guitarist Tom Renaud. Past members have included Karl Kerfoot, Peter Mowry and Brett Farkas, all of whom play the guitar.
Lord Huron's breakthrough arrived with the release of Lonesome Dreams, its first full-length record. The band attracted attention by promoting unique music videos for several Lonesome Dreams tracks on YouTube. The videos were shot in an old-school Western style, made possible, in part, by Ben Schneider's past efforts as a visual artist. The goal of the videos was originally to capture the pulp fiction storytelling feel of the album, but they also attracted tens of thousands of new fans. Upon witnessing the band's gritty Western music video style, many of these fans proved eager to get their hands on Lord Huron tickets.
Stardom came after several years of toiling in relative obscurity. Lord Huron's first EP Into The Sun was released when Ben Schneider was still working at an agency and recording songs on his own in his spare time. The early release was soft and slightly whimsical. Repeated requests for live appearances and more music convinced Schneider to recruit a handful other band members, who were then featured on second EP Mighty, which featured several tropical-infused indie tracks. Soon after, Lord Huron signed with IAMSOUND records and released their debut full-length record Lonesome Dreams, which was lauded by critics for its vintage Americana sound. Following an extensive tour, the band returned to the studio to create the Western-themed sophomore album Strange Trails. This followup record retained much of the indie sound that set Lonesome Dreams apart, but added an extra country edge that proved delightful to new and old fans alike.
As with its music, Lord Huron's live performances are, on a surface level, quite simple. The band shows up at its venue of choice, offers a basic greeting for the audience and immediately launches into its music. However, despite this apparent simplicity, the songs feature surprisingly intricate guitar riffs. Audience members cannot help but feel cheerful after listening to Lord Huron's upbeat numbers."
