Longitude 2018: J Cole, Travis Scott and Solange top the bill

Having previously hosted headline sets from the likes of Mumford & Sons, Vampire Weekend and The National since its inception in 2013, Longitude Festival has opted for a largely hip-hop and R&B driven line up in 2018 with J. Cole, Tyler the Creator and Cardi B topping an impressive bill of talent. Taking place in Dublin's Marlay Park from 13-15 July, Longitude 2018 is set to be one of the Irish capital's biggest weekends of outdoor music with Post Malone, Travis Scott and Solange also part of a stellar lineup.

Longitude Festival: top class talent ready to descend on Dublin this summer

Marlay Park is a 300 acres suburban public park located in Rathfarnham in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Ireland. Lying about five-and-a-half miles from Dublin city centre, the parkland comprises of woodlands and spaces for recreational activities such as golf, tennis, football and cricket. There are also two children's playgrounds and a miniature railway. 

It has been home to Longitude Festival – the counterpart to the larger Latitude Festival, which takes place on the same weekend in Suffolk – since 2013. Additionally, Longitude is the spiritual successor and outgrowth of Oxegen festival: a legendary Irish rock and pop festival held at Punchestown Racecourse in County Kildare until it ended in 2011.

Longitude's 2018 sound card opens with renowned Hip hop performer and producer J. Cole, who will headline the festival's opening night on Friday 13 July along with Grammy-nominated, chart-topping rap trio Migos and Post Malone. Travis Scott tops the bill on Saturday ahead of the release of his third full-length album, Astroworldwhich, while Tyler The Creator and Diplo will also perform on Saturday night. Beyonce's younger sister Solange will bring the weekend to a close on Sunday, with Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals and Mercury Prize winning Sampha completing Sunday's lineup. Teenage sensation Khalid, Cardi B (the first female hip-hop artist since Lauryn Hill to have a solo number one), London rapper Giggs, J Hus, Joey Bada$$, The Internet, and rapper Lil Pump will also play.
