Field Day: London festival upping sticks to Brixton after a decade in Tower Hamlets
Selling out every year without fail, Field Day Festival brings together the UK's best alternative acts; spanning genres from underground dance to folk and synth-driven indie.
It has been held in East London’s Victoria Park since its conception in 2007 – playing host to the likes of Aphex Twin, Flying Lotus, and Nina Kravitz in 2017 – but will move to its new home at Brixton's Brockwell Park in 2018.
Acts are yet to be confirmed for 2018, but with the pedigree of recent years it's safe to say that Field Day 2018 won't disappoint. So be sure to watch this space and pick up Field Day tickets at StubHub.
Field Day 2018: one of London's most diverse music festivals
Starting life in 2007, Field Day saw early live performances from artists that have since gone on to superstardom, including Foals, Florence & The Machine and Caribou.
Proving popular, the festival added 'Village mentality', an annual fete that includes classic games and activities such as a sack race, tug of war and egg and spoon race. In 2009, the area was extended to include its own stage and musical line-up, with Mumford & Sons one of the first acts to grace it.
Over the following years the weekend continued to provide an eclectic lineup – with everything from indie rock to deep house on the bill – while the festival's growing appeal saw it attract a range of high calibre acts such as Mogwai, The Horrors and Wild Beasts.
