A magician turned TV star

Born in Germany but with Persian roots, Farid’s career was initially going in a different direction, as he entered university to study law. However, he ended his studies prematurely and decided to pursue a career in magic, a passion that has been passed on to him by his Persian grandfather at the age of six, with his first experience on stage happening at the young age of 15. In 2007, he got a contract with Sony BMG as a magician, the first German-Iranian one to do so, and from there he gained nothing but popularity. In addition to performing his own shows, he appeared on various popular TV talk shows such as Krömer - Die internationale Show by Kurt Krömer. He was also cast to participate in the mystery show Next Uri Geller in which he came second, which further increased his popularity. But his TV appearances did not end there, in fact this opened up a new world for him, and he got to have his own TV show ‘Street magic with Farid’, in which he played an illusionist. This was followed by his self-produced show ‘Farid – Magic Unplugged’, which started in 2018, and in which he got to impress passers-by and big name stars alike, such as Helene Fischer, Tim Bendzko and Yvonne Catterfeld.
