Originally hailing from the Jamaican city of Portland, Dillian Whyte moved to London at the age of 12, back in the early '90s. Growing up in Brixton, Lambeth, Dillian Whyte began boxing at the local gym, humbly known as Miguel's Boxing Gym. Turning to boxing amidst failing grades, Whyte developed both a talent and a taste for the sport, though it may come as a surprise to find that Whyte originally began his fighting career as a professional kick-boxer. During this time Dillian Whyte could boast titles including the Pain & Glory UK K1 Champion and the WPKL British Heavyweight Title, what is most impressive is that all of this was achieved before he 20!

Moving over to Amateur boxing in 2008, Whyte is one of the few boxers who can actually claim a victory over a then-amateur Anthony Joshua, having beaten the budding young fighter thrice, through a unanimous decision. Moving to professional boxing 3 years later, Dillian Whyte's success seemed boundless when every battle saw Whyte emerge victoriously. Unfortunately, Whyte's discovered drug-use a year later has since lead to the boxer vilified more than once.
