Singer
Cory Henry is best known for his talent playing the Hammond B-3 organ. His musically rich and inventive performances have caught the ears of music fans across the world. His career began when he was 19-years-old and was asked to travel with jazz musician Kenny Garrett as his organist. After three years with Garrett, Henry broke out on his own and began doing solo organ performances, as well as working with many talented recording artists, including the likes of Sara Bareilles, P. Diddy, Boyz 2 Men, Bruce Springsteen and the Roots. Henry is also known for his producing talent. He shot to stardom as a producer in 2010 when he co-produced "Larger than Life" for Jay White.
Breakthrough
Henry first caught the eye of the music-loving public during his performance at the Apollo when he was 6-years-old. He wowed audiences with his unbelievable music skill, particularly for such a young child. It wasn't until he toured with Garrett, however, that music critics across the world began to take notice. Garrett has always been popular for his outstanding saxophone skills. However, adding Henry, as a standout organist, changed his music and called attention to the young artist behind the keys. Henry shot to commercial stardom with this 2010 holiday album, "Christmas with You," for which he was the band leader.
Hit Albums
Henry has played the organ on countless records. Many of the artists he has worked with have had multiple platinum albums. Henry's 2010 Christmas album was also a commercial success. This album took popular Christmas classics and presented them in a new and unique way, played on the organ and by a big band. He has also had several other successful albums as a solo bandleader, including "Leave You Alone" and "Gotcha Now Doc." Henry's albums are beloved because they present their own unique twist on the classic jazz sound, adding in contemporary and unusual instruments.

Cory Henry's music is varied and fits into a wide range of diverse genres. Attendees of his shows can expect to hear a little something for everyone; lots of jazz, some gospel, a little pop and some big band influences. His musical talents and prowess on the stage often make for a quiet audience during the show, but one that will be up on their feet shouting with a standing ovation after it's over.
