Bramham Park - UK festival scene's most historic site
Situated between Wetherby and Leeds in West Yorkshire, Bramham Park is an 18th century Grade I-listed country house whose surrounding area hosts events such as the Leeds Festival and International Horse Trials. Bramham Park tickets are available to both buy and sell on StubHub.
A popular tourist attraction
Built as a summer holiday residence in 1698 for 1st Baron Bingley, Robert Benson, the baroque Bramham Park mansion was completed 12 years later and has remained in the family ever since. It was left derelict for 80 years following a major house fire in 1828, but was later restored in the early 20th Century by George Lane-Fox. His great-grandson Nick inherited the property in 2012, by which point it had become a popular tourist attraction. The estate also boasts several Grade I-listed ornaments, including The Chapel, The Gothic Temple and The Rotunda, which visitors can tour alongside the house and its surrounding gardens. But it's perhaps best known nationally as the home of several major annual events including the Cancer Research Fun Run and 'the toughest 10k challenge on Earth,' aka Total Warrior. It was also used as the setting for the third series of BBC One's successful lottery-based drama The Syndicate. Check out the range of Bramham Park tickets on offer at StubHub.
From equestrianism to rock and roll
In 1974 Bramham Park staged the inaugural International Horse Trials, now regarded as one of the leading three-day events on the European circuit. And since 2003, it's also been the home of the annual Leeds Festival. More than 75,000 regularly flock to the site in late August to enjoy a feast of pop, rock and indie acts over the course of three days. Linkin Park, Metallica and Blur were the first headliners when the Leeds part of the Reading Festival and Leeds Festivals moved from the Temple Newsam to Bramham Park. Since then, the site has welcomed everyone from rappers Kendrick Lamar and Eminem to hard rockers Rage Against the Machine and Queens of the Stone Age to indie favourites Arctic Monkeys and The Libertines to its historic grounds. Alongside all the established names on offer, fans with Leeds Festival tickets can also enjoy comedy and cabaret at the Alternative tent, the stars of tomorrow at the BBC Introducing Stage and the best in underground hardcore and punk at the Lock Up Stage.
