Alan Carr Biography - Award Winning Comedian Returns With New Arena Tour

Born in Dorset in 1976, this burgeoning star's career began in his early twenties on moving to Manchester. His breakthrough came in 2001 when he was awarded the Best Comedy Newcomer of the Year by lifestyle publication City Life, along with the BBC New Comedy Award. He was to become a popular fixture on the Manchester comedy circuit, before joining Justin Lee Collins in hosting The Friday Night Project, which was to see the comedian catapulted into the spotlight.

With his profile rising, the TV show offers kept coming in with Alan Carr's Celebrity Ding Dong hitting our screens in 2008. This came alongside the comedian's first arena tour; Tooth Fairy Live would see him sell out venues across the country, before he returned by popular demand with Spexy Beast in 2011 and Yap, Yap, Yap in 2015.
