A promising start for a new ice hockey franchise

The ECHL (East Coast Hockey League) is a mid-level ice hockey league based in Princeton, New Jersey. For the 2017–18 season, the franchise became the ECHL affiliate of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils and hired Brad Tapper as their head coach who, after taking his team to the conference finals, moved to the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins as an assistant coach.
