The Six Day Races are a legacy tradition in London and around the world that dates back more than a century. The origins of the races started with David Stanton in 1878, who set out to ride 1,000 miles in six days at Agricultural Hall on a bet. After this initial event, the races spread to many different parts of the world and got their modern iteration in the United States, but now are mainly a European event.
