Capital's Jingle Bell Ball 2017: Ed Sheeran, Rita Ora, Taylor Swift and The Script confirmed as festive music spectacular returns to London's O2 in December

Get into the Christmas spirit this December and join Capital FM for their annual ball at London's O2 Arena. One of the standout Christmas music events of the year, Capital’s Capital's Jingle Bell Ball is always a sell-out event; with more than 30,000 fans flocking to the O2 to see performances from global superstars.

Starting in 2008, the event has been serving up a huge dose of pop heaven for almost a decade now, with performances from the likes of Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Take That, Olly Murs, Ellie Goulding, Coldplay, Little Mix, Jason Bieber, Jason Derulo, Ariana Grande, David Guetta and Jess Glynne.

Much to the delight of fans, Capital radio host Roman Kemp confirmed on his radio show in October that the Capital's Jingle Bell Ball will return in December 2017, with the likes of Taylor Swift, Rita Ora and The Script heading up this year's star-studded cast!

Capital's Jingle Bell Ball: best of 2016's epic weekend

Last year, Capital rounded up ten of the world's biggest acts under one roof for a superb opening Saturday night. Fans were helped to get into the Christmas spirit when they first arrived at the event with the famous Coca Cola truck parked outside the O2 arena, before Marvin Humes, Capital DJ and ex-JLS star, opened the show with a dance-driven DJ set.

Arguably one of the biggest solo artists in the world, Olly Murs was the first act on stage; performing hits such as "Dance With Me Tonight", "Kiss Me" and "Troublemaker", before dream pop superstar Dua Lipa continued the party as she performed "Blow Your Mind", "Hotter Than Hell", before closing with "No Lie" alongside Sean Paul. 

Clean Bandit and Anne Marie followed, before The Wanted's Nathan Sykes serenaded the 16,000-strong crowd with his rendition of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas". X Factor winner Louisa Johnson then performed Justin Bieber cover "Love Yourself" and "So Good" with plenty of dancing and panache thrown in too.

Craig David then took to the stage to perform his set, which included a brilliant mix of classics and new material. David opened with the sing-along hit "7 Days" before performing more recent hits "Nothing Like This" and "When The Bassline Drops".

Penultimate act Little Mix put on a typically spectacular performance; treating fans to "Salute", "Move" and "Wings" along with some spectacular dance moves. Nathan Sykes then returned to the stage to perform "Secret Love Song" alongside the girls, before Calvin Harris closed the night with an epic 13-track DJ set.
