Irving Berlin first wrote the song, "White Christmas," in 1938. He shelved the song for several years until Paramount Studios signed Berlin to write Holiday Inn. Berlin didn’t expect "White Christmas" to become an enduring favorite for the holidays because Berlin originally worked harder on other songs for the movie. Furthermore, he was an unlikely candidate for writing one of the most famous Christmas songs of all time. He was born in a Jewish family in 1888 in Tolochin, Byelorussia. His family emigrated with him and his seven siblings to New York in 1893. He began working at age 13 in various jobs such as a singing waiter at a Chinese restaurant. His first international hit was Alexander’s Ragtime Band in 1911.Where can I buy White Christmas San Antonio tickets?
