Enter the "Trashgrass" world of Whiskey Shivers
All the members of Whiskey Shivers have certain traits in common: a love of whisky, a love of punk music, a love of country/bluegrass music and a love of raucous live shows, so it should come as no surprise that any music the band produces reflects the things they love most. Their debut album, "Batholith", was released in 2011 with the hit "Gimme All Your Lovin" and from that moment, Whiskey Shivers has been gathering steam. With each successive live performance, they have picked up fans and brought them along on their "trashgrass" musical train that has been cruising along ever since. The "Rampa Head" album in 2012 yielded further hits "Swarm" and "Long Way Home" as the band toured across the country, and by the time the "Whiskey Shivers" project came along in 2014, the band had already established itself as one of the best bands you've never heard of. Whiskey Shivers tickets are available now for purchase or sale via StubHub. You can also check out tour dates for other bluegrass and country groups, like The Dead South, Crooked Still and Shinyribs.
Hop aboard the Whiskey Shivers musical express
"Cluck Ol' Hen", "Liquor, Beer, Wine & Ice" and "Fuck You" are three of the big hits off the band's fourth album, "Some Part of Something", from 2017 and elicit some of the loudest reactions from the audiences when played at any of their live shows. A torrid tour schedule again across the United States in support of the album included several festival appearances, like South By SouthWest (SXSW) as well as international stops in Germany, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom as the "trashgrass" express invaded Europe. The banjo and the fiddle play fast and fierce and the lyrics are often funny, sometimes serious, but the music is always highly entertaining. Another curiosity about this band is the fact that they always play barefoot on stage, regardless of where they are, and this idiosyncrasy lends a feel of unpretentiousness to the group ,which endears them further to audiences. While bluegrass may not be one of the more popular music genres internationally, Whiskey Shivers is one band worth listening to. Whiskey Shivers tickets are available now to buy or sell via StubHub.
