The Maine Biography - Going It Alone

Formed around core members Garrett Nickelsen and Patrick Kirch, the group came together in 2006 after recruiting frontman John O'Callaghan - who impressed at his auditions despite possessing no previous vocal experience. Cutting their teeth playing live in and around their hometown of Tempe, the quintet wasted no time in putting out their debut releases, EPs Stay Up, Get Down and The Way We Talk, in 2007. However, it was their first full-length album Can't Stop, Won't Stop that began attracting the attention of music fans. Their notoriety gained momentum following touring and promotion of the album so that by the time of their second full studio release the fivesome found Black & White selling by the bucketload within its first week of release.

Building on the success, 2011's Pioneer became their first album to chart in the US Billboard 200. With 2013's ecstatically-received Forever Halloween cementing their position as megastars in waiting, there's never been a bit time to catch them live and get in on the action.
