In its early days, The Early November seemed like just another emo band, but the prolific group has since proven that it can accomplish great things in this languishing genre. At its high-energy live performances, the members of this entertaining band merge pop and emo into one appealing package.
The members of The Early November love performing in front of live audiences and make a point of maintaining an active tour schedule. The band has several upcoming performances in the works, including appearances at The Key Club in Leeds and Hamburg's Hafenklang.
A prolific solo artist, Arthur Enders has released side projects under the moniker I Can Make a Mess Like Nobody's Business, as well as Ace Enders and A Million Different People. He has released five full length albums as I Can Make a Mess, and two with Ace Enders And A Million Different People.
The ambitious triple disc album The Mother, The Mechanic and The Path was delayed for over a year while the group struggled with nailing down the concept for the record. Rumour has it that Drive-Thru Records rejected the album seven times before finally releasing it.
The Early November formed at a time when emo music and the scene that surrounded it was exploding in popularity. Led by front man Arthur "Ace" Enders, the group experienced numerous lineup changes before settling as a four-piece band consisting of Enders, guitarist Joseph Marro, drummer Jeff Kummer and distinguished bassist Sergio Anello. The Hammonton, New Jersey group would later add guitar tech Bill Lugg to the band as a permanent member. The Early November was one of the most popular bands on influential emo record label Drive-Thru Records and continues to stand out to this day.
Despite the group still being in its early stages of development -- and without any officially released music available to fans -- The Early November landed a spot on the Vans Warped Tour. This ultimately allowed the group to gain the type of exposure that young bands just starting out can only dream of. Debut EP For All Of This was released shortly following the Warped Tour. This early release proved that, in addition to making an excellent impression on tour, the group could also create excellent tracks in the studio.
Hot off the heels of their appearance at the Drive-Thru Invasion Tour, the members of The Early November released debut full-length album The Room's Too Cold. This was quickly followed by The Mother, The Mechanic and The Path, a hit that achieved an enviable position at 31 on the Billboard charts. After an extended break, the group re-emerged, reunited, and revitalised the rock scene with third album In Currents. In addition to attracting a ton of attention from long-time fans, this release helped the band gain a bevy of new followers, many of whom proved eager to get their hands on The Early November tickets.
Led by wild man bassist Sergio Anello, who cannot be contained by any stage, The Early November puts on raucous live performances that leave fans breathless. Lead singer Ace Enders isn't afraid to let the crowd take over for him during big choruses. Guitarists Joe Marro and Bill Lugg keep the set sounding tight, while Anello is often on the side of the stage climbing the biggest amp he can find."
