In 2018, they released their impressive album Hope Downs, which was written in an off-the-beaten-track area of New South Wales and named after a remote mine in Australia. Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, the band was formed in 2013 by three friends who had met at high school, Fran Keaney (guitar and vocals), Tom Russo (guitar and vocals), Joe White (bass) and then joined by Marcel Tussie (drums) and Joe Russo (bass guitar). Citing influences that include bands like the Feelies and the Go-Betweens, they dropped their official debut single, Clean Slate, in 2015 to critical acclaim. An EP followed, Talk Tight, which was given Australian radio airplay and received positive reviews from the likes of Pitchfork Media's Stuart Berman and American music critics Stephen Deusner and Robert Christgau. It was followed by their EP, French Press, which was mixed by American record producer Doug Boehm and released in 2017 on Sub Pop Records. Experience all the fun and charm of their performances when they come to perform at a venue near you.
