Trivia

Rae Morris was born Rachel Anne Morris, but she took her stage name in tribute to her grandfather, Raymond. Her interest and career in music began at a very early age. She started playing the piano at the tender age of four, and quickly fell in love with making and playing music. In school, she focused her studies on drama and music. While she did not always plan to be a professional musician, she did finally come around to the idea, and, just as she was getting ready to head off to Leeds College of Music, she received music studio offers and signed to Atlantic Records.

Only in her early twenties, Rae Morris is a singer-songwriter with her own unique style and take on the world. She stays true to her roots and her own mind, not wanting to abandon who she is or where she came from. She began her official music career in 2012 releasing her first single and then her first EP in the same year. Morris has been unstoppable ever since, constantly writing music and touring to wow audiences with her very personal and poignant lyrics.

Breakthrough

Rae Morris got her biggest break early in her career when her debut single "Don't Go" was featured in the final episode of the sixth series of the popular television program Skins in 2012. Following the exposure and success of her first single, Morris released her debut EP For You, which she chose to sell only at her live performances.

Hits

To date, one of Morris's biggest hit singles was her debut "Don't Go." However, in January 2015, Morris released her first full-length studio album Unguarded. Along with her debut album, Morris released the accompanying single, "Under the Shadows." Unguarded has reached #9 on the UK music charts and pushed Morris on to a new stage of her music career. She is certain to do even bigger and greater things in the future with the momentum she has built up.
