The Tigers compete as a member of Major League Baseball, the top baseball league in the world. As members of the American League Central, the Tigers find themselves pitted against the Minnesota Twins, Kansas City Royals, Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Indians for the division title in the regular season. In spring training, the Tiger compete in the Grapefruit League. Some of the toughest teams in baseball call the Grapefruit League home every spring, and they come to visit the Tigers at Joker Marchant Stadium on an annual basis. The New York Yankees are often one of the top teams in Grapefruit play, and whenever they come to this venue the stands are packed to the brim.
