Oscar Biography - The UK's Newest Brit Pop Star
As son of the couple who ran the '70s new wave group the Regents - you'll most likely remember their bouncy hit '7 Teen' - you could say that Scheller was pretty much destined to embark on a musical career. After graduating from art school he began writing and recording songs in his childhood bedroom to craft his distinctive DIY tunes.
Debut single 'Sometimes' arrived via Brown Rice Records in 2014, infused with toe-tapping melodies and sing-a-long Britpop hooks. First album Cut and Paste touches on a number of innocent topics like choosing what football team to support or poking fun at teenage-style melodrama, but so infectious are the tunes that the subjects barely matter. His radio-friendly lo-fi vibes have already won fans across the world - so make sure you are one of the first to catch him live. Get your Oscar tickets on StubHub now.
