Motorhead - Speed Metal Pioneers Reach 40th Anniversary
When singer and bassist Lemmy hurriedly put together this band in 1975 following his eviction from Hawkwind, few would have predicted that after such a haphazard start, they'd still be going strong 40 years later. It's testament to their influence on rock 'n' roll music that they've endeared to so many people for so long, but anthems such as 'Overkill', 'Ace of Spades' and Iron Fist' are instantly recognisable. 2015 sees the release of their 22nd studio album Bad Magic, which includes a cover of the classic Rolling Stones track 'Sympathy For The Devil' and a guest appearance from Queen guitarist Brian May on 'The Devil. The band will head out on a tour to celebrate their 40th anniversary, so fans can expect to hear all their favourite tracks along with a few new ones.

Motorhead Biography - Rock 'n' Roll Giants Return to the Live Stage
Vocalist Lemmy - Ian Fraser Kilmister to his mother - formed the band in 1975 after being thrown out of space rock group Hawkwind for roguish behaviour. It's worked out pretty well for both parties, as both bands are each considered pioneers in their respective fields. Often credited with the invention of speed and thrash metal genres, Lemmy refutes such claims, insisting that it's enough to label his music simply as rock 'n' roll. Regardless, they have influenced a wide range of artists across numerous genres. With Lemmy's trademark gravelly vocals over extremely loud and fast guitars, the band have found a worldwide following, and they've spent the past 40 years honing their craft.
