A superb electronic music duo whose shows will leave you speechless
Hailing from Texas, Missio was originally a solo project started by the musician Matthew Brue in 2015. After helping Matthew produce his self-titled EP, his friend David Butler joined the group early the next year, and together they have created music that is both deeply personal and also incredibly relatable for those who have gone through bad times in their life. Matthew’s lyrics explore all kinds of personal themes, whether its loneliness, sobriety and addiction, depression or anxiety. The visceral vocals are laid across complex, yet minimal-sounding layers of electronic sounds and beats to create music that is simply outstanding and deserves to be heard live in concert. Missio is often on tour, having played at huge festivals like SXSW and also putting on worldwide tours such as the 2019 Rad Drugz Tour that covered 32 dates across the US, Canada and Europe.
