Plot

Jennifer Blood is cast as Miss Honey, Matilda's teacher and confidant, with Quinn Mattfeld as Mr. Wormwood, Cassie Silva as Mrs. Wormwood and Bryce Ryness as Miss Trunchbull, the story's main antagonist and school headmistress.
Original Authors
British author Roald Dahl published the original novel in 1988 with illustrations by the well-known Quentin Blake. The novel gained popularity throughout the early 1990s and was adapted into the film version in 1996, which went on to gain international success in the box office before being adapted for a stage musical version in 2010. The musical version of Matilda was written by Dennis Kelly with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin.
Producers
The Executive Producers of the U.S. national tour that will be running at the Boston Opera House are Denise Wood and Andre Ptaszynski, with The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers also acting as producers. Wood has been the lead producer for The Royal Shakespeare Company for over ten years and was the producer who worked on the original premiere of the production in London. Ptaszynski's resume is equally impressive, as he has won Best Musical Olivier or Standard Awards for six of the fifty plus shows he has produced.
