From classical choir boy to turntable titan
Widely regarded as the nicest chap in the dance music scene, Solveig's musical journey began as a choir boy in The Paris Boys Choir, where he became a soprano soloist under legendary conductor François Polgár. Things had changed by the time he turned 18, where he began to DJ in well-known Parisian nightclubs (Le Queen, L'Enfer, Les Bains Douches) as soon as he could. In 2002, he released his first album Sur le Terre, featuring the singles Rocking Music and Madan. The 2005 follow up, Hedonist, hit number 43 on the French charts before the release of C'est la Vie, the most successful album of his career at that time. Since then, the international bangers kept on coming through fourth album Smash, as Solveig earned a reputation for his glorious pop crossover tunes and insanely catchy choruses heard on tracks such as Hello, his number one single featuring Canadian electronica band Dragonette, and Ready 2 Go, with Kele Okereke, lead singer of indie rockers Bloc Party, on vocals. It's virtually impossible to not be swept away by the good vibes of this EDM giant, so for an unforgettable night of feel good anthems, buy or sell Martin Solveig tickets right here on StubHub now!
Collaborations with the world's biggest stars
When he's not performing monumental live shows, Solveig hosts his own weekly radio show, C'est la Vie, broadcast on radio stations worldwide, including France's first exclusively EDM station Radio FG. He also manages Mixture Stereophonic, his own record label claiming the likes of Claude Monet, ND Catani and Ryeland to its roster of artists. Aside from his most notable collaborations, Solveig has worked with global pop superstar Madonna as a producer on her 2012 album MDNA, as well as with fellow DJ Madeon, Australian vocalist Tkay Maidza and Finnish singer songwriter Alma. An international influence, Solveig was made the resident DJ for MTV's Movie Awards in 2012, where he celebrated the classic soundtracks of some of the best films from the modern era.
