Lower Than Atlantis Biography - From Upcoming Hardcore Act to Alt Rock Festival Legends

Hailing from Watford, this impressive four piece first arrived on the music scene with a raw hardcore punk sound back in 2007. Their debut EP Bretton was released on Thirty Days of Night Records in December 2008, leading the way for subtler full-length album Far Q just over a year later. The record marked a shift in the band's sound, moving towards post-hardcore influences and a more polished sound.

By 2011 World Record had hit the shelves and the album's more accessible alternative rock sound saw the band break into more mainstream success, dominating the airwaves with hits like 'Deadliest Catch' and being forced to migrate to larger venues to accommodate the growing crowds flocking to their hotly tipped live shows. By the end of the album's tour they had signed to major label Island Records and began taking up slots at big name festivals including Download and Reading and Leeds during Summer 2012.
