Louisa Johnson: one of pop's rising stars
Louisa Johnson auditioned for the twelfth series of The X Factor in 2015; chosing "Who's Lovin' You" by The Jackson 5 as her opening track. She received a standing ovation from the judges and progressed through to the second round. At 'bootcamp', she sang "Proud Mary" and then "Lay Me Down" to make it through to the six-chair challenge. Competing in the girls category at bootcamp, Johnson was mentored by Rita Ora and successfully made it past the six-chair challenge to 'judges' houses'.
At judges' houses, she sang "Respect" by Aretha Franklin and was chosen by Ora for the live shows before making it to the final along with Reggie 'n' Bollie and Ché Chesterman. Johnson duetted with her mentor Rita Ora, and then sang what was to be her winner's single – a cover of "Forever Young" by Bob Dylan the following night. Upon winning The X Factor, Johnson become the first winner in the girls category since Alexandra Burke in 2008, and the youngest winner ever.
Her debut studio album is due for release sometime in 2018, and Louisa Johnson tickets available at StubHub.
