Local Natives - Touring the UK in November 2016
These Los Angeles based indie rockers have crafted a sound that has been described as 'psych folk', with critics often likening their style to the great Arcade Fire and the college campus icons Vampire Weekend. Fans can expect elegant harmonies, waves of dreamy synthesiser rock and luscious vocals courtesy of Kelcey Ayer's expansive vocal range. Previously known as Cavil at Rest, the group made a bang with their 2009 debut Gorilla Manor and 2013 follow-up LP Hummingbird, and drop third album Sunlit Youth in 2016 - preceded by single 'Fountain of Youth'. You can catch these incredible rockers on their November UK tour with dates in Bristol, London, Oxford, Leeds and Manchester. Grab your Local Natives tickets on StubHub now to avoid missing out.
Local Natives Biography - US Indie Rockers Unveil New Album Sunlit Youth
The band was created in Orange County, California, where Kelcey Ayer, Ryan Hahn and Taylor Rice attended Tesoro High School together. Once they started to take things seriously, drummer Matt Frazier and bassist Andy Hamm joined to complete the line-up. The group first started to attract attention after nine huge shows at the 2009 SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. Debut album Gorilla Manor also helped the band to gain a presence in Australia, where the hit single 'Wide Eyes' was used in an election campaign.
Despite the departure of bassist Andy Hamm in 2011, the group stayed together to release sophomore effort Hummingbird whichpushed them further out of their comfort zone and allowed them to experiment with different styles. With the arrival of Sunlit Youth in 2016, fans finally get to hear new material alongside the classics. Get your Local Natives tickets at StubHub to be among the first.
