Little Green Cars Biography Tipped for the Top
This fantastic five-piece - tipped as the Irish equivalent to Mumford and Sons - formed in 2008, when front duo Stevie Appleby and Faye O'Rourke joined up with school friends Dylan Lynch, Donagh Seaver O'Leary and Adam O'Regan. The group initially took it slow, taking their time to finish their studies before starting to gig locally and record demos. However, by 2012 their reputation was growing internationally as well as on home shores, as they completed a triumphant first tour of the US. Their debut single 'The John Wayne' proved a sleeper hit, gradually building momentum after a couple of releases. The accompanying video for the single made for a breath-taking introduction to the group, who filmed it at Goulding Summerhouse in Wicklow.
Voted Best New Act of 2012 by readers of the Irish Times, they've also been tipped for the top by tastemakers in the UK after being shortlisted for the annual BBC Sound Poll. With Coldplay and Mumfords producer Markus Dravs helming their debut album Absolute Zero and a growing live reputation, their star is only set to soar higher.
