Bringing home the madness

Born in the Flemish town of Willebroek, Michael Thivaios first started DJing alongside his brother Dimitri as a teenager. The pair went on to bag their own national radio show and residencies at Ibiza's Privilege and Space before showing they could produce dance anthems as well as play them with debut single, "La Cocaina (Eivissa 2007)". DJing and recording under the guise of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, the duo went on to become regulars at the Tomorrowland Festival and collaborate with Afrojack, Nervo and Martin Garrix, and in 2015, they reached pole position on DJ Mag's yearly Top 100 DJs poll. The brothers also scored three number ones in their Belgian homeland with tracks featuring cameos from Diplo, Ne-Yo and Ummet Ozcan, launched their own Smash the House label and release a series of compilation albums titled "Bringing Home the Madness". In 2018, Like Mike announced that he would be launching a solo career during a break from his regular duties with his sibling.
