Knife Party Biography - Cutting a Dash for Number One

Swire and McGrillen first collaborated with each other as part of metal group Xygen before being inspired to switch their allegiances to the dance world after a true epiphany moment. Eventually this spark blossomed into the beginnings of fusion group Pendulum, who went on to revolutionise the UK's underground dance scene before topping the charts with 2010's Immersion LP. Just months after the group split, the core duo made their first appearance as Knife Party at Space in Ibiza before releasing the 100% No Modern Talking EP in December that year. The pair gained more momentum throughout 2012 after the release of a second EP, Rage Valley and the use of one of its tracks, 'Bonfire' in hit TV drama Breaking Bad. Buoyed by the exposure, the group crashed the UK Top 5 with 'Antidote', a collaboration with dance dons Swedish House Mafia, cementing their place among the UK electro scene's elite acts.
