& Juliet London: pop music meets Shakespeare
& Juliet is a musical based on the story of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare. It features music by Max Martin, a Swedish record producer, songwriter and singer. The musical has a comedic and fun-loving plot line, following the story of Juliet had she chosen not to kill herself at the end of Shakespeare’s forbidden-fruit love story. In this spin-off musical, Juliet instead decides to drop the dagger and begin the search for a new life. She ventures to Paris with some friends and, of course, the Nurse, where she finally takes control of her life and tells her own story.
