Get into some Swedish indie with Johnossi
Johnossi are a brilliant young Swedish pop rock duo that play a frothy concoction which you're bound to fall in love with immediately. They're yet another in the seemingly endless line of pop talent that comes out of Scandinavia, although they tend more to the rock side than most of the ones that have made their way to our shores, like A-ha and the legendary ABBA. Perhaps they're closest to The Hives, if you're looking for a beacon by which to place their music, so come primed for an alternative rock gig when you buy or sell Johnossi tickets on StubHub.
Touring Europe with other Swedish bands
Johnossi come from the relatively tiny town of Saltsjöbaden in the Stockholm district. They're essentially an indie rock band, which grants a lot of leeway in the modern era, so if you think of other Swedish bands like Mando Diao then you'll be in the right ballpark. This is no coincidence either, as these two bands have regularly toured together. In fact joint tours are the stock-in-trade for Johnossi, who have always performed with as many other local outfits as possible, understanding how important building a scene is to the success of any aspirant band. Their first release on a small indie label went largely unnoticed, but they managed to secure a more comprehensive distribution deal for their sophomore album, "All They Ever Wanted", finding markets in most of western Europe and even as far afield as Japan. This hard-working band has also toured virtually incessantly, steadily building audiences in country after country. You can find out why they're attracting so much attention when you get your own Johnossi tickets here.
An indie band with mainstream ambitions
Johnossi have also made a point of performing with as many international bands as possible. They've supported Green Day in Sweden, and toured the States with the Swedish indie pop outfit, the Shout Out Louds, who've made some decent inroads into the American market. Perhaps their most ambitious tour was with the aforementioned The Hives, whom they supported in Japan. This is obviously a band with a clear vision of where they want to go, and that appears to be all the way to the top of the international rock charts. Do they have the chops to pull it off, is the only question that remains. So far they're showing a lot of potential and you'd do well to make your acquaintance with one of the brightest young stars in modern Scandinavian music. You can get Johnossi tickets on StubHub when you're planning a trip across the North Sea, or when they visit us in the UK.
