Jessie J: new singles, album, and tour dates mark superstar's much-anticipated return
London born singer Jessica Ellen Cornish enjoyed a maverick musical childhood, going on to study at the capital's famous BRIT School where she spent her lunchtimes jamming with fellow pupils and future chart toppers Adele and Leona Lewis. After spending her early twenties penning tracks for high profile artists (including "Party in the USA" for Miley Cyrus), Jessie decided to strike out alone as a solo star. Her debut single "Do It Like a Dude" soared to number two in the UK singles charts in 2011, and paved the way for her massively successful debut album Who You Are.
Hits like "Price Tag" and "Domino" proving to be among the biggest hits of 2011, while the release of her sophomore album Alive showcased a consistency for hit songwriting. Jessie further raised her profile after appearing as a judge on television talent show The Voice, helping to mentor fledgling singers alongside Will.I.Am and Sir Tom Jones.
Propelled by the success of lead single, "Bang Bang" (with Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj), third album Sweet Talker (2014) was met with critical acclaim from music critics. The single became a worldwide hit, topping the charts in the United Kingdom and reaching top tens across the globe.
Health problems have caused Jessie's career to stumble in recent years, but on 11 August 2017 she finally released a new single, "Real Deal", which was praised by critics. A month later she announced R.O.S.E. as the title of her fourth album, before releasing lead single "Think About That". Released in 2018, R.O.S.E. was a both a critical and commerical success, with Jessie J following it up with a run of much-anticipated UK gigs in the autumn.
