Franklin Field is famous for both having the first scoreboard as well as the first upper deck in any stadium. The venue is known as the home of the Penn Quakers football team and it hosts five football games each year, including contests against rivals such as Princeton and Columbia. From 1958 to 1970, Franklin Field was the home of the Philadelphia Eagles before they moved to the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia. The stadium is near the exit from the Schuylkill Expressway and is only minutes from Center City Philadelphia and 30th Street Station. Franklin Field is an older stadium that does not have any elevators. However, parts of Franklin Field are still handicap accessible. The handicap entrance is through the SL/SM Gate which is located on South Street. The accessible seating is through South Concourse and into the South Stands. Franklin Field has a horseshoe shape and a double-decker design. The upper level seats provide an expansive view of the field for an affordable price. Sections SE through SH are located on the first level along one of the sidelines. These are the only Franklin Field tickets for seats in the stadium that have chairbacks. The rest are bleacher seats. In addition, fans who take SEPTA commuter trains can walk to Franklin Field from 30th Street Station.
